Linseed oil paints are one or our oldest types of paint, and have been in use for more than 500 years. The paint has a living, beautiful and durable surface and contains different linseed oils and pigments. Linseed oil paint permeates the surface and provides good protection against water and dirt. Linseed oil paint gives you the most paint for your money, starting at 15-18 m² per litre of paint. It is easy to re-do as long as you look after the old linseed oil paint – brush away old paint and apply a new coat. As it contains no water or chemicals which evaporate by themselves, you should only apply a very thin coat. Linseed oil paint works on most surfaces including wood, sheet metal, iron, rendering, plaster, clay, brick – indoors or outdoors.
The paint is based on raw linseed oil, linseed stand oil and oxide pigment. For many years, we have noticed that the mix of raw linseed oil and linseed stand oil delays depletion, chalking and associated maintenance. We have also reinforced the paint with fungicides and zinc to combat mould. The paint paint does not contain solvents.
We have a wide range of beautiful standard colours, classic as well as modern. If you are looking for another shade, we can break it down to find your Custom colour. First, we create an NCS or RAÄ colour. If you are not satisfied, we then tint the paint. We always tint linseed oil paint with linseed oil paint, on a scale of four decimal points. No tints are done using synthetic pastes.
